* 晬颜是一个介绍与推广中国非物质文化遗产——京剧，同时提供个人风格化形象制作的应用软件。它将传统文化与当今时尚潮流相结合，为用户提供了解传统文化平台之余，支持再创作，赋予京剧新的价值和意义。晬颜所有人物形象均基于经典设计，忠实原作，集国画笔锋与现代动漫技法于一体，佐以iOS平台最新的AR技术，尽显京剧良多趣味。

Peking opera, one of the human intangible cultural heritage works and our national quintessence, has grabbed some attention from developers, however most of them act as a “porter”: When simply transferring traditional repertoire into digital ones with e-commerce services, they neglect the redesign of its core elements in digital media. That is why we have “ZuiYan”. Choosing iOS as the platform for its large group of users, our application makes dramatic recreations based on the costume and makeup of traditional Chinese characters in Peking opera. Exploring new forms of the opera and thus injecting fresh blood to this ancient art, “ZuiYan” bridges the past and the present.

Our app has two main functions. First it gives an introduction and appreciation of the history and culture of the opera, as well as its aesthetic values. It starts with the four major types of roles, then their branches. The vivid images, smooth animations, and refined words, all construct an integral view of the unique Chinese opera style in figure design. Furtherly offering detailed and expertized analysis for each make-up and accessory gives our app depth and fully expresses our passion. Thanks to ARKit in iOS 11, now we can break down the barriers of 2D and present our figures in a more interactive way. With the representative arias of each role, users are able to explore a deeper level of the stories while enjoying this feast of seeing and hearing. Second, besides learning and experiencing the culture, we encourage users to make a redesign of the roles according to their features. They can even add their understanding and feeling, then share his/her creation as an avatar or a figure card on the social media. With “ZuiYan” , we bring Peking Opera, the kernel of our app, back to life, and give it a brand new meaning.
